Ingredients:
- 2 medium potatoes (boiled and cooled)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (3 points)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese (3 points)
- Optional toppings: chopped green onions, fresh parsley, or light sour cream
Instructions:
- Prepare Potatoes:
- Boil the potatoes until tender (but not falling apart). Let them cool and then cut into fry-shaped pieces or wedges.
- Season the Fries:
- In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Ensure that all fries are evenly coated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Air Fry the Fries:
- Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches).
- Air fry at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
- Cook until the fries are crispy and golden brown.
- Add Cheese:
- Once the fries are crispy, remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to an oven-safe dish or keep them in the air fryer if it has a broil function.
- Sprinkle the shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese over the fries.
- Return the fries to the air fryer or place them under a broiler for about 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
- Serve:
- Garnish with optional toppings like green onions, fresh parsley, or a dollop of light sour cream if desired.
- Enjoy your cheesy, crispy fries!
