Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 2
Intensity: Moderate
Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each), skin-on or skinless
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Marinate the Salmon:
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring the fillets are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare Salmon for Air Frying:
- Remove the marinated salmon fillets from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for a few minutes.
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if they have skin.
- Air Fry the Salmon:
- Air fry the salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Optionally, you can brush the salmon with any remaining marinade halfway through cooking for extra flavor.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Once cooked, carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer basket.
- Garnish the sticky garlic salmon with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.
- Serve the salmon hot with steamed rice, vegetables, or your favorite side dishes.
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets and your air fryer model. Adjust cooking time accordingly for desired doneness.
Enjoy your deliciously sticky garlic salmon made in the air fryer!
