Air fryer chees scone’s

Air fryer cheese scones are a delightful and quick treat that you can make with the convenience of an air fryer. Here’s a simple recipe for you:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Scone Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour, cold cubed butter, grated cheddar cheese, mustard powder (if using), baking powder, and salt. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. Add Milk:
    • Pour in the milk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
  4. Shape the Scones:
    • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle that is about 1-inch thick. Using a round cutter, cut out scones from the dough.
  5. Air Fry the Scones:
    • Place the scones in the preheated air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Brush with Olive Oil:
    • Lightly brush the tops of the scones with olive oil. This will help them achieve a golden brown color during cooking.
  7. Air Fry:
    • Air fry the scones at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Keep an eye on them, as cooking times may vary between air fryers.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the air-fried cheese scones to cool for a few minutes before serving. They are delicious on their own or with a dollop of butter.

These air fryer cheese scones are perfect for a quick snack or a savory addition to your breakfast or brunch. Feel free to customize the recipe by adding herbs or spices to the dough for extra flavor. Enjoy!
