roast potatoes in air fryer

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 35-40 minutes
Recipe Intensity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds potatoes (such as russet or Yukon Gold), peeled and cut into chunks or wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh chopped herbs (rosemary, thyme, parsley) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the potato chunks or wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the potatoes evenly with the seasonings and oil.
  3. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Arrange the seasoned potato chunks or wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the potatoes halfway through cooking, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
  6. Once done, remove the roasted potatoes from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish.
  7. Garnish the roast potatoes with fresh chopped herbs if desired, such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley.
  8. Serve the air fryer roast potatoes hot as a delicious side dish alongside your favorite main course.

Note: Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the size and thickness of your potato chunks or wedges, as well as the efficiency of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time as needed to achieve your desired level of crispiness and doneness.

Enjoy your crispy and flavorful roast potatoes made in the air fryer!
