Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 12-15 minutes
Total Time: 22-25 minutes
Recipe Intensity: Easy
Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
- Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, or your favorite steak seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides. You can also add any additional seasonings you prefer, such as garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, or a steak seasoning blend.
- Lightly brush both sides of the seasoned steaks with olive oil or melted butter. This helps to enhance the flavor and promotes browning.
- Place the seasoned and oiled ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook the steaks in batches.
- Air fry the ribeye steaks at 400°F (200°C) for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking. For medium-rare doneness, aim for an internal temperature of around 130-135°F (54-57°C) measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the steak.
- Once done, remove the ribeye steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat for maximum flavor and tenderness.
- Optionally, you can slice the ribeye steaks against the grain before serving to make them easier to eat and to showcase the beautiful marbling of the meat.
- Serve the air fryer ribeye steaks hot with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of your ribeye steaks and the desired level of doneness. Adjust the cooking time accordingly for rare, medium, or well-done steaks.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned ribeye steaks made in the air fryer!
