Air fryer raspberry pavlova

Pavlova is a delightful dessert that traditionally involves baking a meringue shell and filling it with whipped cream and fresh fruits. While making a pavlova in an air fryer might not be the conventional method, you can create a pavlova-inspired treat with the air fryer. Here’s a simplified recipe for Air Fryer Raspberry Pavlova Cups:

For the Meringue Cups:

  • 3 large egg whites, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling:

  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prepare Meringue:
    • In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
    • Gradually add the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat. Continue beating until the meringue is glossy and the sugar is fully incorporated.
    • Mix in the cornstarch, white vinegar, and vanilla extract. Beat for an additional minute until well combined.
  3. Form Meringue Cups:
    • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
    • Spoon the meringue mixture into small rounds on the parchment paper, creating cup shapes.
  4. Air Fry:
    • Place the parchment paper with the meringue cups in the preheated air fryer.
    • Air fry for approximately 20-25 minutes or until the meringue cups are crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  5. Cool:
    • Allow the meringue cups to cool completely before handling.
  6. Assemble:
    • Once cooled, gently remove the meringue cups from the parchment paper.
    • Fill each cup with a dollop of whipped cream and top with fresh raspberries.
  7. Garnish:
    • Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Serve your Air Fryer Raspberry Pavlova Cups immediately for a light and delicious dessert. Remember that air fryers can vary, so monitor the meringue cups closely to achieve the desired texture.
