Shrimp Scampi in air fryer

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for added heat
  • Lemon wedges for serving


  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to make the scampi sauce.
  3. Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in the bowl with the scampi sauce. Toss the shrimp until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, without overcrowding. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Air fry the shrimp scampi at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the sauce is bubbling and fragrant.
  7. Once done, remove the shrimp scampi from the air fryer using tongs or a spatula.
  8. Serve the air fryer shrimp scampi hot, garnished with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp.
