Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (about 450g) ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Cook Ground Beef/Sausage:
    • In a skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Prepare Crescent Roll Dough:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of an air fryer-safe baking dish or pan, covering the bottom and slightly up the sides.
  4. Layer Ingredients:
    • Spread the cooked ground beef or sausage evenly over the crescent roll dough.
    • Pour the marinara sauce over the meat layer, spreading it evenly.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce layer.
    • Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the cheese layer.
  5. Air Fry Casserole:
    • Place the assembled casserole dish in the preheated air fryer.
    • Air fry the Italian crescent casserole at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Once cooked, carefully remove the casserole from the air fryer.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for added freshness and flavor.
    • Let the casserole cool slightly before slicing and serving.
  7. Slice and Enjoy: Slice the air-fried Italian crescent casserole into portions and serve hot as a delicious and comforting meal.

Note: Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the size and model of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly and check for doneness by ensuring the crescent dough is cooked through and the cheese is fully melted.

This Italian crescent casserole is flavorful, cheesy, and perfect for a family dinner or gathering. Enjoy!
