Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Butter or olive oil for brushing
  • Garlic powder (optional, for extra garlic flavor)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare Dough:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
    • Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
    • Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  3. Roll Out Dough:
    • Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
    • Roll out each portion of dough into a flat round shape, about 1/4 inch thick. You can use a rolling pin for this.
  4. Prepare Garlic Topping:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley (if using), and a drizzle of olive oil. You can also add a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra garlic flavor.
  5. Brush Dough with Garlic Mixture:
    • Brush each rolled-out flatbread dough with the garlic and parsley mixture, ensuring an even coating on the surface.
  6. Air Fry Flatbread:
    • Place the garlic-coated flatbread rounds in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry the flatbread at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Optional Toppings:
    • Once cooked, you can brush the hot flatbread with additional melted butter or olive oil for extra richness and flavor.
    • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the hot flatbread for a cheesy finish.
  8. Serve: Remove the air-fried garlic flatbread from the air fryer and serve them hot as a delicious side dish or snack.

Note: Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the thickness and size of the flatbread rounds and your air fryer model. Adjust the cooking time accordingly for desired crispiness.

Enjoy your homemade garlic flatbread made in the air fryer!
