Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • All-purpose flour (for dusting)

For the Filling:

  • 1 pound spicy Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prepare the Filling:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the spicy Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Once browned and cooked through, remove any excess grease.
  2. Add sliced bell pepper, red onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.
  3. Season with dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling mixture cool slightly.

3. Roll Out the Dough:
