Tiramisu & Nutella Trifle

Ingredients:

For Tiramisu Layer:

  • 1 package of ladyfinger biscuits (about 24)
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 3 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

For Nutella Layer:

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chopped hazelnuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

For Tiramisu Layer:

  1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
  2. Dip Ladyfingers:
    • Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your trifle dish.
  3. Make Mascarpone Cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  4. Layering:
    • Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the layer of ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat:
    • Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone cream, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream.
  6. Dust with Cocoa:
    • Dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.

For Nutella Layer:

  1. Make Nutella Cream:
    • In a separate bowl, whip together the Nutella, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until it forms a thick and smooth cream.
  2. Layer Nutella Cream:
    • Spoon the Nutella cream on top of the tiramisu layer, spreading it evenly.
  3. Garnish:
    • Optionally, garnish with chopped hazelnuts for added crunch and flavor.
  4. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the trifle for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve chilled and enjoy the layers of Tiramisu and Nutella goodness!
