Total Time: 25 minutes
Recipe Intensity: Easy
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and then slice each half into thick wedges.
- In a shallow bowl or plate, combine the all-purpose flour with garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
- Place the Panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl or plate.
- Dip each avocado wedge into the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with Panko breadcrumbs. Make sure each wedge is evenly coated.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil.
- Arrange the coated avocado wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece for air circulation.
- Air fry the avocado fries at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy, flipping them halfway through cooking for even browning.
- Once done, remove the avocado fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve the air fryer avocado fries hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, sriracha mayo, or salsa.
Note: Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the size and thickness of your avocado wedges and the efficiency of your air fryer. Keep an eye on them towards the end of cooking to prevent burning.
Enjoy your crispy and delicious air fryer avocado fries as a tasty and nutritious snack or side dish!
