Slimming World Chinese Chicken

Slimming World-friendly Chinese Chicken dish involves using lean proteins and incorporating lots of vegetables. Here’s a simple recipe for Slimming World Chinese Chicken:


  • 500g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Cooking spray or low-calorie cooking oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • Spring onions (scallions) for garnish
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving


  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Cornstarch Slurry:
    • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat a wok or a large skillet over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray or use a small amount of low-calorie cooking oil.
    • Add the marinated chicken to the hot pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry Vegetables:
    • In the same pan, add a bit more cooking spray if needed. Stir in the sliced onion, bell peppers, broccoli, garlic, and grated ginger. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Combine and Thicken:
    • Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the vegetables. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and toss everything together until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the Slimming World Chinese Chicken over cooked rice or noodles.
    • Garnish with sliced spring onions.
