Air Fryer Fish Fingers

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-12 minutes
Total Time: 25-27 minutes
Servings: 4
Intensity: Easy

  • 1 pound (450g) firm white fish fillets (such as cod, haddock, or tilapia)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko breadcrumbs work well for extra crispiness)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare Fish Fillets: Cut the fish fillets into strips or fingers, about 1 inch wide.
  3. Prepare Breading Station: In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another dish, place the all-purpose flour. Beat the eggs in a third dish.
  4. Coat Fish Fingers: Take each fish finger and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the fish finger in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere to the fish.
  5. Arrange in Air Fryer Basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Arrange the breaded fish fingers in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for even cooking.
  6. Air Fry Fish Fingers: Place the air fryer basket with the fish fingers into the preheated air fryer. Air fry the fish fingers at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve: Once cooked, remove the fish fingers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve the crispy air-fried fish fingers hot with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the fish fingers and your air fryer model. Adjust cooking time accordingly for desired crispiness.

Enjoy your homemade crispy and flavorful air-fried fish fingers!
